Hi, I'm Nes

From Malaybalay to Eagle Rock

The Sweet Spot is a one-baker bakery with a big Filipino heart.

Car trunk packed with cakes, muffins and trays ready for delivery

I grew up in Malaybalay, in the hills of Bukidnon, where merienda wasn't a snack, it was an event. Every afternoon there was puto, kutsinta or something warm from the oven, and always someone stopping by to share it.

When I moved to Los Angeles, those were the flavors I missed most. So I baked them for friends, then friends of friends. Then came the burnt Basque cheesecake, and people started asking for boxes to give away.

Today I bake everything to order in a licensed shared kitchen, pack it into our checkered boxes and deliver most of it myself.
